Stimulus

So, something drastic needed to be done - and drastic it is. But did they really not read the bill? The largest bill in the history of the United States, and they still voted for it without reading it, really? Does that seem like a good idea? I'm reading/hearing/watching a lot of stuff from both sides. The good and bad. I'm interested in the opinions of the people I know.

Yeah, doesn't seem like a good plan!
Don't they know that we elected them to be a voice for the people and not just cover their 'butts'? All the "pork" crap in the bills make me mad! Just say what you want to do and vote on it already! Yes or NO?
I know it's not easily covered in one sentence, but 1000 pages is crazy! Who even wrote it? All of them shoved junk in? I thought they were going to help us??? (I never really thought that, at least I know our local guys are on our side. They are pretty dang good.)

The blind leading the blind. 789 billion?? I think this educated republican who voted against it said it all: ."The taxpayers of today and tomorrow will be left to clean up this mess."
What a great start! Thanks Obama!

According to the CBO, only $26 billion — just over 3 percent — will be spent this year. Another $110 billion — or 13 percent — will be spent next year. Which means that by the time President Obama's term is halfway through, just 16 percent of the money will have been spent.

I thought President Obama said this is supposed to be a quick "jolt" to the economy? Somethin fishy going on here!
